VISA Consumer Rights
Your protections when paying by Visa debit or credit card
Section 75 Protection (Credit Cards)
If you pay by Visa credit card for items costing between £100 and £30,000, your credit card provider is jointly liable with us under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. This means if we fail to deliver the goods, go out of business, or the product is misrepresented, you can claim a full refund directly from your card issuer.
Visa Chargeback (Debit & Credit Cards)
For transactions under £100, or where Section 75 doesn't apply, you may be able to use the Visa Chargeback Scheme. This allows you to ask your bank to reverse a transaction if you did not receive what you paid for. Contact your bank within 120 days of the transaction or expected delivery date.
Zero Liability Policy
Visa's Zero Liability Policy protects you against fraudulent or unauthorised use of your card. If you notice any suspicious charges, contact your card issuer immediately. You will not be held responsible for unauthorised transactions made with your Visa card.
Bank Transfer Rights
Your protections when paying by manual bank transfer (not Direct Debit)
How to Pay by Bank Transfer
To pay by bank transfer, contact us at hello@lifelinemobilesolutions.co.uk to receive our bank details. Transfers typically take 1–3 business days to clear. Your order will be dispatched once payment is confirmed. Bank transfer is a one-off manual payment and is not the same as a Bacs Direct Debit mandate.
APP Fraud Protection
The UK Payment Systems Regulator's Authorised Push Payment (APP) Fraud Reimbursement Scheme requires banks to reimburse victims of APP fraud. If you are deceived into sending money to a fraudster posing as us, contact your bank immediately and report it to Action Fraud.
Confirming Our Bank Details
Always verify our bank details by calling 01202 080075 before making any bank transfer. We will never send you changed bank details by email alone without phone confirmation. This protects you against payment diversion fraud.
Bacs Direct Debit Rights
Your protections when paying by Bacs Direct Debit (collected via Stripe)
How Bacs Direct Debit Works
When you choose Direct Debit at checkout, you authorise Lifeline Mobile & Care Solutions — working with Stripe — to collect payment from your UK bank account. You enter your sort code and account number securely on Stripe's encrypted form; we never see or store your full account number. The name that appears on your bank statement is LIFELINE MOBILE. We will give you at least 2 working days' advance notice before each collection. Direct Debit is a delayed payment method: confirmation normally takes around four business days for an existing mandate and may take up to seven business days for a new one, and your order is dispatched only after Stripe confirms the payment has succeeded.
The Direct Debit Guarantee
You are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. This means that if an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by Lifeline Mobile & Care Solutions or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund from your bank. You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time through your bank — but please also cancel the service with us so the underlying contract is closed.
Secure Online Payments
All card and Direct Debit payments on our website are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of payment security certification available. We never see, store, or handle your full card or bank account details. All transactions are protected by 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption.
Complaints & Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint about your order or a payment, please contact us first at hello@lifelinemobilesolutions.co.uk or on 01202 080075 — we resolve the vast majority of issues quickly and fairly. Our internal complaints process is published on our Contact page.
If we cannot reach agreement, where your complaint concerns goods or services bought from us you can seek free, independent advice from Citizens Advice, who may refer the matter to Trading Standards. The Financial Ombudsman Service can consider complaints about payment services and providers (for example, your bank, card issuer, or a Direct Debit issue that your bank cannot resolve) — it does not act as our complaints body and cannot adjudicate ordinary retail goods disputes.
